The Prosecutor’s Office pointed out that it coordinated the search in a joint effort with the Police and Forensic Medicine to find the whereabouts of all the people who appeared in a report from the Bogotá Ombudsman as missing during the riots on September 9 and 10 in the capital. .

The relatives approached the District entity and reported at least 33 cases in which it was unknown what had happened to several young people who went out to protests those nights, in which at least 10 people died.

For this reason, prosecutor Torres said, “urgent search mechanisms were activated” to visit different parts of the city and “the identification and location of all of them was achieved”; although she specified that it was 10 people:

“The Office of the Prosecutor informs that all have already been found, and for that, the respective survival certificates are duly signed,” added the official.

Among the actions of the authorities were to consult databases such as the Information System Network of Disappeared and Corpses (Sirdec), and also in entities such as hospitals, Police Stations, CAI, Inpec, among others.
