The Supreme Court of Justice responded to Senator Iván Cepeda a right to petition, in which he confirms that his name is listed as one of the victims of military intelligencer in the country.

Through a statement, the congressman reported that “Cepeda’s name appears in a file called ‘special cases’ ‘special work’, where its name is related on a recurring basis associated with an analysis of ‘nodes and links’ ”.

“I have been officially informed by the Supreme Court of Justice, that a folder has been located within the investigation for the so-called profiling carried out by the National Army in which my name is repeatedly mentioned,” said the opposition congressman.

The senator indicated that this shows that some political leaders are being the victims of illegal surveillance and interceptionss by the National Army, as he had denounced with his colleagues Roy Barreras and Antonio Sanguino.

“There was an operation to illegally intercept and follow up against me. This is due to the political control debates that I have held in relation to the activity in the Army of a corrupt sector and crimes that have been perpetrated from that sector of the institution, and I also do not doubt it, of all the pressures and threats that have arisen around the process by which ex-senator Álvaro Uribe is being investigated, ”he said.

The profiling that would be being carried out by military intelligence is already a matter of investigation by the Supreme Court of Justice and the Attorney General’s Office.

According to Cepeda, The Office of the Attorney General of the Nation is also carrying out a disciplinary trial against 13 Army uniforms involved in these events, “Among them two retired generals who were attached to the Headquarters of the Operations Staff, the Military Intelligence Combat Support Command, the Military Intelligence Brigade Command and the Cyberintelligence, Strategic Military Intelligence # 4, and Security Counterintelligence battalions. Information”.

Similarly, several members of the Armed Forces have been removed from their positions for these same events.
