Three people dead and two injured is the balance of a confrontation between two structures of residual organized armed groups present in the Inda Zabaleta village in the municipality of Tumaco, Nariño.
According to information provided by the authorities, the clashes took place at seven in the morning between members of these organizations.

“When we arrived in the area, the community gave information on the location of three bodies of male individuals who died as a result of this confrontation.. The military unit secured the area and we informed the competent authorities so that they will carry out urgent actions, ”said Brigadier General Nairo Javier Martínez, commander of the Hercules Joint Consolidation and De-stabilization Task Force.
“The rapid reaction of the troops allowed the apprehension of a minor whose rights were restored and the seizure of abundant war material, material for the production of explosives, quartermaster material and coca base paste, “said Brigadier General.
So far the identity of the people who were found dead has not been established. In the same incident, two people were injured and were transferred to the medical center of the Llorente district. Likewise, a minor who claims to be a member of the ‘Los Contadores’ structure approached the troops to reestablish his rights.

According to intelligence information, the clashes were the product of disputes over illicit economies between the ‘Oliver Sinisterra’ structure and the ‘Los Contadores’ structure of the residual Organized Armed Group, since more than 10,600 hectares of illicit crops are located in the sector.
The authorities indicated that so far no displacements of the communities have been recorded due to these clashes.
“Fortunately, there has been very good coordination with the other municipal authorities and the Ombudsman’s Office, counting on the presence of units in the sector to secure the region and so far there is no knowledge of the displacement of the people who live in the district “said the commander of the Joint Task Force for Consolidation and destabilization Hercules.
