The name of the Santander population was a trend in networks this Saturday due to the advertising panel that was installed against former president Álvaro Uribe Vélez, which was accompanied by a message that reads: “We know who gave the order. And in Barrancabermeja we demand justice ”.

The poster mentions that the former senator is detained for bribery in criminal proceedings and procedural fraud, charges attributed to him by the Supreme Court of Justice, and in the image there are also some dark-colored figures representing the military.

But what generated the most controversy was a phrase in which it is said that “it is not political persecution” the fact that the senator is being prosecuted, because there it is read that “he has that number (of prisoner) for a bandit.”

This statement opened a debate between supporters of the politician and those who do not sympathize with him, especially when it was learned that the fence was installed with the authorization of the Unión Sindical Obrera (USO).

In fact, Edwin Palma, director of the USO in Barrancabermeja, He shared the image on his Twitter account and said that this city “is not Uribe”.

“[…] Workers less. Our city is a victim of Uribism. And we want peace, justice, reparation and non-repetition ”, added Palma in the trill, and He explained that the deputy director of the union was the one who installed the fence.

Although the former congressman has not referred to this issue, his followers and supporters went massively to the networks to defend the man they still consider to be “president”, and even published photos of fences that have been installed in various parts of the country defense of what was the most voted senator in Colombia.

In addition, they recalled the episode of vandalism last week in Barranquilla, where a group of people destroyed a fence that they had installed in favor of Uribe, as recorded by Ojo Vallenato.

But on the other political edge of the networks, the detractors of the former president made themselves felt, who massively shared the image and gave full support to Palma and the union leaders who set up that fence there.
