Despite the fact that the authorities assure that several of these criminal organizations have already been dismantled, the images serve as a warning so that citizens do not neglect themselves in the face of the insecurity of the capital.
The Police showed several videos and assured that there were 6 gangs that they detected that they were dedicated to stealing businesses, people and vehicles and others to selling drugs.
In the first case, the gang was known as ‘Los parce’ and its objective was to steal cars, mostly trucks.
The way these criminals operated was to detect homes that had garages and where families came to store their vehicles at night.
In these images you can see two cases in particular. The first happened at the end of June, after 7:00 p.m. in the south of Bogotá, when a family had their doors open. Three armed men arrived there and shot and beat them to get away with the white vehicle.
In the same video it is seen that last July, around 9:00 at night, a high-end van was stolen by two armed men in the town of Puente Aranda when the driver was talking to another man in front of his home.
The Bogotá Police also showed that in some cases the criminals were mobilized in other vehicles in which they had coves to store firearms with silencers; one of the 5 captures of this band was also recorded.

In another case, the authorities identified a gang made up only of women that was dedicated to robbing commercial premises and was identified as ‘Los cables’. They hid basic products under their clothes and were always with a companion who helped them keep watch.
The images also showed that Police officers came to the homes of these women and They were detained for the crimes they committed, at least, since 2016, and for those with at least 18 judicial records.

The Police showed a third video of the band ‘Las ratas’, which had the same modality as the previous one and they kept some food and cleaning products between their clothes and even their private parts in commercial establishments in the towns of Rafael Uribe Uribe, Engativá and San Cristóbal. Three women and a man were captured.

This people will be prosecuted, according to their crimes, for aggravated robbery, qualified robbery, reception, trafficking and possession of firearms and conspiracy to commit a crime.
