“I invited Óscar because I owed him and his mother an apology, because an unfortunate thing happened that we wanted to clarify,” López began by saying, in his program ‘Calle a Calle’ on Canal Capital.

He explained that on September 21, in the protests in Bogotá, they carried out 20 manifestations of which only 2 turned violent. In one of them, in the center of Bogotá, was where the error was born.

“I published a tweet saying: ‘had to intervene Esmad in the center because some vandals attacked a bank headquarters’. I published 4 photos showing the vandals and one of the people in the photo was Óscar ”, said López in the program.

The mayor of Bogota said that, minutes later, Galindo was taken by the Police to a Protection Center where It was verified through cameras in the area that he was marching, but he was not one of the vandals that damaged the bank, but was passing through the site and was in the image shared by it.

“I want to apologize, because for the publication of my tweet, Oscar has had a very bad time; they have told him that he is a vandal, that he attacked that. There was nothing about him. The Police verified it ”, added López.

Meanwhile, the young man, who was defended by Congressman Inti Asprilla minutes before being arrested, thanked the gesture of Claudia Lopez and one more time reiterated that he is not a vandal and that he went out to march in a peaceful that day.

“Thank you very much Dr. Claudia for what you are doing at the moment. Yes, I wanted to clarify that; I am not a vandal or an evil person. I work honestly with my mother in a village on the street, we are itinerant workers ”, concluded Galindo.
