Giraldo Díaz was killed by a gunshot by a National Army soldier when he was traveling in a vehicle through Guatemala, rural area of Miranda, in the north of Cauca.
The events occurred at around 8:30 in the morning, when Giraldo, a 38-year-old trans woman, was traveling in a vehicle with Francisco Larrañaga, his partner, and another man on the road that is located between Cauca and the south of the Valley.
