The Sena Public Employment Agency will make available 20,000 job opportunities for Colombians through a virtual event that will take place between September 28 and October 2.

‘ExpoEmpleo virtual SENA 2020’, as the event has been called, will have 3D environments, regional pavilions, one national and one international, 200 stands for companies with their vacancies, a live video conference room and a networking space for job seekers.

And some international companies such as Grupo Hospiten (Spain), Orions (Chile) Internationaler Bund (Germany), Phoenix Mobilité Internationale (Canada) and the Government of Québec (Québec international and Montreal international), “said SENA.
Likewise, he indicated that among the most demanded vacancies are bilingual contact center agents, commercial advisers, administrative assistants, construction assistants and officials, nursing assistants, salespeople, merchants, production operators, drivers, installation and repair assistant of networks. telecommunications, among others. And the occupations with the most vacancies in other countries are full-stock and computer application developers, IT consultants, big data and analytics engineers.
Carlos Mario Estrada, general director of SENA, indicates that the raison d’être of the Entity’s Public Employment Agency has always been to connect talent with opportunities. “SENA has been working with the APE for 31 years to bring citizens more and better opportunities, allowing them to access the labor market with training, job placement and occupational guidance to improve their profiles,” he said
And he added that in this case and given this new reality, the virtual modality is a great platform for all Colombians to access a job offer for vacancies in different sectors.
For his part, the Minister of Labor, Ángel Custodio Cabrera, stated that “this will be an opportunity for Colombians to participate at the national level in a digital and virtual environment, which will allow the connection between companies that require human talent and the people who seek a job opportunity. ” And he adds that: “the Public Employment Agency SENA has contributed more than 50% of the placements reported by the Public Employment Service of the Ministry of Labor in the country.”
In 2020, 446,528 vacancies have been published through the SENA APE and 265,324 placements (new jobs) have been generated, as a result of labor intermediation.
