The young woman issued her statement through Twitter, the same social network in which the Defense Minister published his statement and assured that he had already asked for forgiveness.
In the recording he addressed Carlos Holmes Trujillo directly:
“We do not accept your excuses, Minister. They are not authentic, they are not born from the recognition of the responsibility that you are assisting as commander of the men who from the Police have violated the people who protest in Colombia.
Denis Cruz said that Nor did he see the official’s interest in changing the rules that allow the elimination of victims from the Public Force nor the behavior of the Police, despite the fact that it has been “involved in so many attacks and human rights violations.”
In addition, on behalf of the Dilan Cruz family, the young woman indicated that Trujillo is ignoring the court ruling trying to extend the apology he delivered on September 11 for the murder of Javier Ordóñez to cover “all the mistakes made by the Police from its creation until the end of time.”
Deniz Cruz reminded him that the order of the Supreme Court of Justice is oriented, punctually, to the excesses committed by Esmad agents in the protests of the National Strike in November 2019, which left his brother as a victim, and therefore he does not know his supposed compliance with the sentence:
“He wants us to understand that his excuses are valid, when they do not mention the people that the Police have murdered and do not mention the violations that he has committed in the social protest. Among these people is Dilan, my brother. A young man whose life was taken by his men, causing us the greatest damage that anyone could ever cause us ”.
The experts have not reached a consensus on whether or not the minister complied with the ruling and that is in the hands of the magistrates of the Civil Chamber of the high court.
Meanwhile, the young woman reminded the former Chancellor that there are hundreds more than Esmad and other police officers have mistreated and that is why citizens do not trust them but fear.
The young woman closed with a forceful phrase and the request for the minister to leave his post:
“With your words, Minister, you make fun of the victims, the law and the justice. You are mediocre at your job, quit now ”.

Dilan Cruz’s family asks for his resignation because they consider that the minister failed to recognize the mistakes and his responsibility in the abuse of authority by the men he leads.
All this taking into account that in his statement Trujillo was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Defense, Diana Abaunza, and all the generals that make up the military leadership, as seen in the video in which he allegedly complied with the court order on the pardon:
