“Welcome to the land of Quintero”, said one of the parades located in the capital of Antioquia, where the ‘xeneizes’ arrived to confront Independent Medellín.
The message refers to Quintero doing the goal with which River Plate beat Boca in the 2018 Libertadores final, disputed in Madrid, Spain.
In addition, the phrase could be read as a complement “We make life bitter”, next to an image of the midfielder and a shield of Boca Juniors the other way around, as well as the date of that final.
There were also flyers stuck in the streets with the same messages and the photo of the player wearing a mask.
The clash between Boca and Medellín, valid for the fourth date of group H of the Copa Libertadores, was scheduled for Thursday, September 24 at 7:00 pm at the Atanasio Girardot stadium.
