The confrontation between the Minister of Defense, Carlos Holmes Trujillo, and the senator for Polo Jorge Enrique Robledo heated up this Thursday morning.
Through their Twitter accounts, Holmes Trujillo and Robledo spoke harsh words, and while the leftist congressman insists on calling “Liar” to the official, the minister announced that he will file a lawsuit against the senator.
In recent days, various opposition sectors have stated that Holmes Trujillo lies and violates the law on issues such as the US advisory mission that is present in Colombia and for which Robledo requested a motion of no confidence in the Senate.

The main argument in this matter is that, according to the opposition, the government should have requested consent from the Senate before authorizing this mission in Colombia, and it did not.
On the morning of this Thursday, the minister wrote to Robledo on Twitter: “The question of who violates the law will be resolved by the judges because I will file a complaint against you for multiple crimes. It is high time I stopped believing that parliamentary inviolability is immunity or impunity.
.@JERobledo That of who violates the law the judges will resolve it because I will file a complaint against you for multiple crimes. It is high time that you stop believing that parliamentary inviolability is immunity or impunity.

To which the left-wing congressman replied: “I am not afraid of your threat @mindefensa Because you know that to do so you will have to lie and break the law again, as you lied and violated the law on the Senate and the US troops. It is known that a false complaint will not wash away your guilt, which is true, no matter how ministerial ”.

To this message, the minister replied: “No threat, Senator. What I will do is resort to the rights guaranteed by the Constitution and the law to distort the infamies that you use to throw against me, under the umbrella of parliamentary inviolability that you mistake for immunity or impunity. “
In political circles there is expectation for the debate and the vote on the motion of no confidence against Holmes Trujillo in the Senate, which should be developed in the coming days.
