Hundreds of dreams took off at 9 in the morning this Saturday from the José María Córdova airport bound for Miami and a stopover in Cartagena. The borders between Colombia and the international skies were reopened and welcome the reactivation of tourism and the economy.

Laura López was one of the passengers on the flight. For more than five months, she longed to be sitting on that plane and expressed her tranquility at all the protocols that are being followed.
“The experience of traveling on the first flight is too different, they are complying with all biosafety protocols, between each passenger there is a difference chair, it is very different, but very rewarding,” he commented.
Passengers had to arrive at the airport two hours before to fill out some documents, go through medical check-ups, take a temperature with a thermal camera, check-in by cell phone and keep two meters apart.
158 passengers were mobilized on this route Medellín-Cartagena-Miami and Starting next week there will be five flights to the United States from Monday to Friday.
