In the complement of the Saturday day of the FPC, Millonarios lost against Once Caldas in El Campín and further complicated their chances to qualify for the eight.
The annotations of the game were the work of Juan Camilo Salazar for the ambassadors, while Roberto Ovelar, Elvis Mosquera and Andrés Felipe Correa were present at the visit.
As soon as the match began, the ambassador set imposed conditions. At eight minutes, a deep ball from the defensive back was combed by ‘Chicho’ Arango and ended up at the feet of Juan Camilo Salazar. The winger eluded the goalkeeper, assisted Juan Carlos Pereira who erred in the definition and the rebound fell again on Salazar to put the 1-0 partial.
Millionaires appealed to the quiet ball to disturb. Precisely Salazar, in several actions that seemed trained during the week, sent all the centers to the first post looking for a touch of Paz, De los Santos or rival defenders.
The next clear of the locals came at 27, Felipe Banguero gained speed on the left wing and lifted a center that hit Arango, but the ball was barely deflected. The central judge annulled the action for lack of the ’10’ ambassador and even admonished him.
Seven minutes later, Once Caldas attacked with his first option. Matías de Los Santos cleared a side center short, the rebound was captured by Roberto Olevar and with his left leg he nailed it at the angle. Nothing to do for Vargas.
Immediately after, Juan David Rodríguez filtered a spectacular pass between the lines and Elvis Mosquera defined before the departure of Vargas. The linesman annulled the action, but the VAR revised and validated the goal because Breiner Paz enabled the rival. Two options, two goals for the Manizales team.
The second part began with another visitor goal. Juan David Rodríguez was in charge of a charge from the left, Paz combed it and ‘Pecoso’ Correa ended up tapping the ball to make it 4-2. Once again, the action was canceled out of place and the VAR showed that everything was legal.
Appealing to self-love, Millonarios searched in all ways: Arango, Del Valle, Pereira and Godoy tried goalkeeper Ortíz, but none were lucky.
In the end, Once Caldas would keep the three points, appealing to direct play and efficiency in the attacks. Millionaires still do not lift, which is why the classification at eight is hanging by a thread.
