The case of Javier Ordóñez, who died in Bogotá after being a victim of police abuse, generated national outrage and a wave of protests in the country.

The student also shared photos of the injuries caused by the fall.
“What justifies this aggression and the injuries caused? The National Police is waging a dirty war against the civilian population and those social sectors that are dissatisfied with its repressive policies,” said the young man.

The commander of the Popayán Metropolitan Police, Nelsón Díaz Pinzón, rejected the actions of the uniformed men and announced that he will initiate an investigation to take the necessary measures in the case.
