Polish cyclist Michal Kwiatkowski (Ineos Grenadier) has won the eighteenth stage of the 107th edition of the Tour de France, a new day with a mountainous profile and 175 kilometers that connects the Gallic towns of Mribel and La Roche-sur-Foron.

With a time of 4 hours, 47 minutes and 33 seconds, Kwiatkowski prevailed in the arrival at La Roche-sur-Foron ahead of his teammate Richard Carapaz, with whom he reached the finish line outstanding.

The winner of the stage came out of the escape of the day, which little by little was selected until Carapaz and Kwiatkowski, both cyclists from the Ineos Grenadier team, were alone in the lead.

Slovenian Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma), who donned the leader’s yellow jersey after finishing second in the ninth stage, was once again a solid leader and kept the precious garment.

The Tour de France will continue this Friday with the dispute of its nineteenth and third last stage, of 166.5 kilometers between Bourg-en-Bresse and Champagnole.
