They publish the poster of the first vandals who attacked CAI in Bogotá

After reviewing the videos captured in 20 points in Bogotá, the Police managed to identify the first vandals who participated in the destruction of the CAIs, as announced by the Bogotá Mayor’s Office.

The mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, thus revealed the poster with the 13 photographs of the people who are being wanted by the authorities for the excesses and destruction of some CAI in the capital of the Republic in the midst of the protests over the death of Javier Ordóñez in a police procedure in Engativá.

“Just as we have made the authorities aware of the information on police abuses, we also want to make known the information of people who were allegedly involved in criminal acts and vandalism,” said the president.

There are 13 people for whom up to three million pesos of reward are offered for his capture. In the images captured by the authorities it is observed how these criminals appear at various points attacking the Police attention centers.

“We want to ask for the help of citizens to identify these people and bring them to justice (…) we are going to do a rigorous analysis, we want to invite citizens to allow us their collaboration in two ways, there may be a reward up to three million pesos for any citizen who can help us “, he pointed.

The president added that more than 75 CAIs were affected in the middle of the protests that began on September 9 in different areas of the city.

“Official figures indicate that 315 policemen were injured, of which many were miraculously saved from death. 294 of them in Bogotá, 79 CAI (Immediate Attention Centers) affected, 40 of them set on fire ”, the director of RCN News, Juan Lozano, said Tuesday.

For the director of Noticias RCN, this is due to a systematic and methodical action against the Police and against the infrastructure built to protect the lives of citizens.

“With the same firmness that from here we demand that the most severe sanctions be applied against police officers who have broken the law, today we demand that they be applied against the vandals and against those who are behind all that operation against the police and the CAI”, Juan Lozano emphasized.

It is noteworthy that the community has begun to demonstrate to recover its CAI and work brigades have been organized and generated so that they can once again function in Bogotá as a space for protection against drugs and crime.
