The National Tax and Customs Directorate announced the call for 1,500 positions that are currently on provisional basis. The contest, which will allow the entity to have the best human talent in the country, will be developed in two phases: the first, an examination of integrity, knowledge and basic skills, and the second phase for missionary positions, a training course.

(This is how the tax collection goes in Colombia).

This first contest seeks to condemn the imbalance that exists today in the proportion of provisional and career civil servants. Currently 54.3% of civil servants are provisional, while 45% correspond to administrative career.

This will allow the Entity to have the possibility of appointing Sectional Directors and chiefs, officials who have all the experience and competence, but who today are provisional.

The thematic axes of the contest will be prepared by the Escuela de la Dian to guarantee that they are consistent with the functions of each position; what differentiates the process from the contests held previously The Dian School will have primary relevance in the second phase for the course and training of the Entity’s officials.

It is important to note that this is the first of three consecutive contests that are established in decree 071 of January 24, 2020, which contemplates the holding of 3 consecutive contests during the years 2020, 2021 and 2022, which show the need for the Career Administrative in the entity.

This process was achieved thanks to the interest of national government in supporting the Dian transformation process, the National Civil Service Commission for their support in structuring this contest and the Ministry of Finance and Public Function that supported the issuance of the DIian Career Decree (DL 071 January 26, 2020).
