The aqueduct service provider Empresas Públicas de Medellín (EPM) announced that there will be an interruption in the aqueduct service in various sectors of Medellín and Envigado this week.
As explained by the entity, the cuts will be made to wash drinking water storage tanks “as indicated in the decree related to the system for the protection and control of the quality of water for human consumption.”
The interruptions will be made during hours established between this Monday and the next days 17, 18 and 19 September, in some sectors of the Aburrá Valley distributed as follows:
El Dorado Circuit, in Envigado, between 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 16 and 3:00 am on Thursday, September 17.
– Transversal 27 South 34D South between diagonals 31C and 43.
– Calles 34 Sur to 37 Sur between careers 40 and 45A.
– Calles 37 Sur to 39 Sur between races 43 and 48.
– Calles 39 Sur to 48D Sur between careers 39A and 49A.
– Calles 48D Sur to 50 Sur between careers 43A and 48.
It comprises 20,480 facilities in the neighborhoods: Las Casitas, Primavera (Envigado), Milan Vallejuelos, La Paz, El Dorado (Envigado), Alcalá (Envigado), Obrero, Zona Centro, El Trianón, Loma del Barro, Pontevedra, San Marcos, La Magnolia and Bucharest.
On the other hand, the entity also reported that to advance the junctions of the road improvement project of commune 14, in charge of the Medellín Mayor’s Office with the Urban Development Company (EDU), the aqueduct service in the circuit must be interrupted. El Esmeraldal, between 3:00 pm on Friday, September 18 and 5:00 am on Saturday, September 19.
This interruption includes:
– Calles 37B Sur to 26 Sur between careers 24 and 27.
– Calles 26 Sur to 16AA Sur between careers 20 and 25B.
– Calles 16 Sur to 12 Sur between careers 18 and 22.
And it includes 5,610 facilities in the neighborhoods: Loma del Atravesado, El Tesoro, Los Balsos No. 1, Los Naranjos (Medellín), San Lucas, Zúñiga and Altos del Poblado. In addition to the offices of Clínica El Rosario de El Tesoro, ISA and Colegio Montessori.
“EPM apologizes to the community for the inconvenience that these interruptions may cause and appreciates their understanding,” the company concluded, stating that it will be constantly updated on the affected sectors.
