A joint effort between the National Army, the Prosecutor’s Office and the Police resulted in the capture of Pablo Antonio Villamizar, alias Oli, alleged leader of the Efraín Pabón Pabón front of the Eln and who, apparently, would be implicated in the attack on the General Santander Cadet School on January 17, 2019.

The alleged leader of the Eln was captured on Friday, September 11.

An investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office structured under the legal guidelines of Francisco Barbosa, Attorney General of the Nation, indicates that Villamizar would have provided important information for the commission of the attack, since he participated in a training course as an officer in this place.

Likewise, it was evidenced that as the alleged leader of the aforementioned subversive group, would have interference in the municipalities of Cilos, Chitaga, Labateca and Toledo (Norte de Santander), as well as in Cerrito, Concepción and San Andrés, among others in the department of Santander.

These people apparently were in charge of logistics, supplies and intelligence in this ELN terrorism support network.
