Police named for the murder of Javier Ordóñez had already been reported for abuse 7 months ago

Lawyer Marcos Valencia affirms that on February 2, in the Normandía neighborhood, he was the victim of police abuse by agent Lloreda, one of those involved in the homicide of Javier Ordóñez, as well as the patrolman Jesús Mejía and other members of CAI Villa Luz.

According to him, he was in the park with his girlfriend when the policeman “recklessly gets off the motorcycle, with the motorcycle moving, and tells me what I am doing. I feel intimidated and tell him that we are talking. The other agent, whose name is Jesús Mejía, gets out and aggressively asks me for the documents ”.

“I let them know that I know my rights and that they are being very aggressive, because I did my law studies. I call my house, say what is happening, ask them to record the procedure. The moment I give the document to one of the policemen, he attacks me, throws me to the ground, handcuffs my arm and begins to beat me, ”he emphasizes.

Minutes later his brother arrived. When he saw how they mistreated him “in handcuffs, he asked that they not hit me. The other policeman handcuffs him, begins to beat him, while Lloreda has me on the floor, beating me in handcuffs ”.

It was then that another uniformed man fired “a weapon to generate chaos and confusion among the neighbors who are witnessing the attacks by the police and for more police to arrive,” says Valencia.

He adds that one of the patrolmen suffocated him “until I lose consciousness, I cannot breathe, and when I manage to recover it, I continue to be beaten and I see how my brother is also being beaten while handcuffed on the ground.”

“They stop us with blows, they put us on a patrol car, I ask the person who recorded the entire procedure to please be careful, to stay with the people who are witnessing. That person is later harassed and persecuted to take away the cell phone that contained evidence of all the attacks, “he says.

He maintains that they were transferred to CAI of Villa Luz in different patrols and that agent Lloreda, who was with his brother, stopped with his companions to eat a hamburger.

THREAT AND EXTORTION

He also says that the uniformed men wanted to force him to sign a subpoena and that, in addition, they blackmailed him: “if I don’t want my brother to be reported for violence to a public servant, let him give them money, to which I did not agree.”

Marcos emphasizes that he was not drinking in the park or consuming hallucinogens, and that this is demonstrated by the tests that were taken from him after filing a complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office against the policemen last February, without anything having happened yet.

That is why he says he felt more powerless and outraged with his situation when he saw on the news that “a man I did not know (Javier Ordonez) died from assaults caused by police officers that I had previously denounced ”.

Now, he says, “I am being threatened”, as well as his family.

But despite the fear, “I have a duty to go out and report this. And if something happens to me, I have no enemies, It was these policemen that I am denouncing, Mr. Lloreda, Mr. Jesús Mejía, those responsible ”, he concludes.
