In a Barranquilla neighborhood, an alleged criminal was discharged after he tried to assault a policeman who was on his day off.
Security cameras captured when the thief got out of a vehicle and approached his victim.
What the criminal did not know was that he was going to run into a police officer, who without hesitation reacted to the attempted theft.
After an exchange of shots, the thug hit the uniformed man with his firearm on 6 occasions, while the officer managed to shoot him down.
General Ricardo Alarcón, commander of the Barranquilla Metropolitan Police, revealed more details about this event.
“Our uniformed man was at lunchtime, he is approached by a person who tries to steal his belongings, he reacts and is hit 6 times by the criminal,” said the general.
A person who was at the scene at the time tried to help the officer when he confronted the criminal.
According to Alarcón, the thief was discharged and the uniformed man is torn between life and death in an intensive care unit
“He reacts with his gun and shot down the criminal. Our uniformed man is in an ICU ”, concluded the commander.
On the other hand, the community of the neighborhood in which this event occurred is fearful. “The situation that arose had not been experienced in the sector,” said Anthony de Ávila.
