It was in the Avenida Ciudad de Cali and Calle 139 where María del Carmen Viuchi lost her life after being run over by a SITP bus that was driven by criminals, who, after robbing the passengers, seized the vehicle. The one who took the wheel lost control, ran over the woman and crashed into a house.
The events occurred at 9 p.m. this Thursday, during the second night of protests in Bogotá for the murder of Javier Ordóñez. María del Carmen was waiting for the traffic light to change to cross the avenue. At that moment she was hit by the bus.
One of the witnesses who observed the situation recounted what happened: “whoever stole the SITP, a dark-haired man who patches around here, Venezuelan, all Venezuelans, and killed her (…) did not care. She even took a partner who was hanging up and ran the tire over her leg, the lady was passed over ”.
The woman was transferred to the Suba hospital, where minutes later he died.
Doña Carmen’s daughter arrived at the place where the events occurred to observe the videos of the security cameras, which are already in the possession of the authorities, who are working to identify those responsible for this crime that grieves a family in Bogotá .
