Transmilenio suspends services due to protests in Bogotá

Transmilenio reports that, due to the demonstrations on the night of this Thursday, September 10, the feeder service was suspended in the portal of Suba, 80, Americas and South. In addition, the operation in the North Portal was canceled and the Alquería station closed.

For the above, full system operation will end at 8:00 pm with the aim of safeguarding the lives of users and collaborators.

And is that the protests are not only taking place in those areas of Bogotá. According to the Ministry of Mobility, in the CAI de Suba Rincón (Carrera 93 with Calle 128 c) there is a blockage in the line. The Carrera 106 with Calle 14 and Calle 13 with Carrera 65 they also have mobility problems due to demonstrations.

It should be noted that the Mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, during the afternoon of this Thursday, He had recommended that citizens arrive at their homes before seven at night to avoid the inconvenience generated by the protests.

For his part, the Secretary of Government affirmed that he spoke with the organizers of the demonstrations so that they can be carried out peacefully. However, he warned that if acts of vandalism occur, members of the Police and Esmad will be ready to intervene.
