In dialogue with La W, Senator María Fernanda Cabal referred to the September 9 protests against the National Police and pointed out that behind these events there is a international campaign to remove funding from the National Police.
“It is, for me, a global phenomenon and I say it with total conviction. This is called a dissipated molecular revolution.. It happened in Chile, the richest country in America, it is happening in the United States, “she said.
The congresswoman also said that, although she has no evidence, she believes that former president Juan Manuel Santos is behind the protests and pointed out that the former president “wants a government of Iván Duque and a country without hope to return to power with his candidate.”
In context:
“This is not free. People always mobilize through organizations that generate all kinds of destabilization. This behind has a doctrine of thought, a motivation (…) here behind you have to be Mr. Juan Manuel Santos, who has not stayed a day without doing politics (…) they need to return to power “.
The senator added that the abuse of authority is unacceptable and noted that we must review the police training processes.
