At least seven people died in the violent day of protests last night in Bogotá and other cities in Colombia, triggered by the police brutality that killed lawyer Javier Ordóñez during his arrest. Who are the young people who died during the protests.
“Seven individuals were killed: five in Bogotá and two in Soacha,” said the deputy director of the Police, General Gustavo Moreno, in a press conference with the Minister of Defense, Carlos Holmes Trujillo, in which they took stock of the night.
El Noctámbulo from Citytv spoke with the families of four victims in Bogotá:
- Julieth Ramírez, psychology and English student. Her relatives say that the young woman died from a stray bullet when she was going to a friend’s house.
- Cristian Hernández was 24 years old, received a bullet impact and died in the middle of a public thoroughfare, in the town of Usaquén.
- Minor of 17 years old, named Fonseca, who would have received four shots from a firearm.
- Germán Smith Puentes, a 25-year-old domicile, apparently shot dead in Suba.

- Alexander Fonseca, 17 years old.
- Julieth Ramírez, 18 years old.
- Fredy Alexander Maecha, 20 years old.
- Andrés Felipe Rodríguez, 23 years old.
- Germán Fuentes, 25 years old.

Senator Angélica Lozano also published the identities of the victims:
