The EPM manager, Álvaro Rendón, revealed the report that contains details of the errors in the design, construction and consultancy of the Hidroituango project and that only reached his hands on August 17, as he claims it was hidden.
“We learned about the document from some officials who had it locked away and left it in the hands of an official of the organization so that he would be informed of it and it rested in the administration,” says Rendón.
“It was never registered within EPM only eight days after having presented the conciliation, we met them and it is disproving that the issue is not only a comprehensive company, but that there are errors in the assembly and construction of the project in all parts. If we had met him in time it would be important ”, he explained.
The technical analysis emphasizes the auxiliary diversion gallery, the Hydroelectric project tunnel that collapsed in 2018, and which, according to the manager, were predictable failures, generated instability and erosion that ended in contingency.
“There are some meshes that had to be placed to give firmness to that lining of the gallery structure, a set of floors where the shears were,” Rendón said.
Although the insurer disbursed 150 million dollars, it will initiate a process against the integral firm responsible for the construction of the Hydroelectric project.
The EPM manager announced in the Ask Yamid program that he handed over the documentation to the control entities about the concealment of the document and will criminally denounce those who are determined to be responsible.
