The Mayor of Cartagena, William Dau Chamat, revealed that On September 21 international flights in Colombia resume. According to the president, the capital of Bolívar will enter this first phase of reactivation of these flights.
“National flights are already arriving, and on September 21 international flights begin to arrive. We received the notification from President Iván Duque and, although we still do not have the details, we will communicate and review with the management of the Rafael Núñez International Airport, the airlines and scheduled flights, ”said Dau Chamat.
It should be noted that a few days before the reactivation of domestic flights, the Mayor of Cartagena would have asked the head of state, through the Ministry of the Interior, to take the city into account when international flights resumed, taking into account that a large part of the economy depends on tourism.

“We show that we are ready for thisThis has been recognized by all the authorities at the national level, and that is why they authorize us to take this step. We know that Cartagena, if not the first city, will be among the first to receive international flights ”, said the president.
He added: “I am interested in ensuring that passengers are well cared for, that they protect themselves, but at this point it is important that they bring their currency, to stimulate the economy of the city and the people of Cartagena who need it so much ”.
Beach pilot
Likewise, the Mayor of Cartagena informed that a few days ago the beach protocol was ready to be reactivated in a pilot plan that includes two specific beaches: Bocagrande, in front of the Hotel Caribe (700 meters) and Playa Azul La Boquilla (more than a kilometer that will extend to the beaches of La Boquilla).
