A 30-year-old woman, identified as Claudia Lorena Mosquera Mosquera, was killed with a knife by her own father during an argument registered inside a house in the El Rodeo neighborhood, eastern Cali.
“Apparently intolerant and personal situations lead the parent to take the life of his daughter,” reported Colonel Edison Rodríguez Daza, deputy commander of the Cali Metropolitan Police, noting that the man, “in the presence of the family, causes this death ”.
The officer noted that uniformed men were present at the scene in response to calls for help and a communication received from the civic participation line. He said that, once they arrived, they managed to capture the aggressor in flagrante delicto, who was going to be lynched by an angry mob.
“The community and neighbors of this family, when observing that this person with a sharp weapon wounds the lady to death, they immediately prevent the Police from taking him because they wanted to take justice into his hands,” he said.
Therefore, according to the colonel, it was necessary to move a police device to the area so that citizens would not attack the father of the fatal victim.
“With a tank we also managed to protect the life of this citizen, as it should be, because there must be, at this moment, a process of judicialization by the homicide that caused his daughter, ”said the officer.
Finally, the deputy commander of the Metropolitan Police of Cali that the case, registered at around 8 o’clock at night on Saturday, September 5, 2020, is already in the hands of the investigators and the Prosecutor’s Office to carry out the corresponding tasks that allow it to be clarified and resolved .
Also, the Police pointed out that, in the middle of the procedure, the tank reversed and caused a motorcycle to fall, causing two people to be injured. However, according to the same authorities, the injuries they suffered are not serious.
