Forbes specified that this selection was made by the editorial team, with advice from experts in different areas, using the same methodology used by Forbes’ headquarters in the United States.
“Different selection criteria were evaluated. Hard power: the resources they administer and manage (GDP, income, assets under their administration or net worth); impact (number of employees, population) and spheres of influence. Similarly, dynamic power (audiences, communities and creative influence). In addition, soft power is analyzed, that is, what they are doing with their influence in each of the sectors: business, media, technology, finance, philanthropy, politics and art. For this edition, the analysis of these variables ended on August 1, 2020 “.
