The fight against homicide in Medellín is serious. And with the significant reduction of this crime, there has also been an increase in the clarification of them, and in the last hours a major coup was perpetrated, after the capture of ‘Cuca’, ‘Descabezado’ and ‘Feto’, men linked to Los Triana, and who are also accused of being torturers and murderers.
According to what the authorities indicated, these people are linked to the homicide that occurred on January 16, 2019, where the young Juan Sebastián Meneses, 22, was murdered, whose body was found on public roads near the Medellín river at the height of the Tricentenario sector , wrapped in gum paper and showing signs of torture.
Those captured would be part of the criminal group ‘los triana’, charged according to the investigations to carry out homicides for account adjustments, using cruel practices such as torture, shredding, bagging and / or wrapped in vinyl paper or gum, sheets, plastic bags, etc. from this the bodies were thrown into the Medellín river or on public roads.
For his part, the mayor of Medellín, Daniel Quintero, said that this coup is in addition to multiple carried out during the current year. Well, so far in 2020, a total of 108 people have been captured for the crime of homicide in the city of Medellín, 15 of them leaders of criminal structures.
