Migration Colombia is already prepared for the procedures required for the reactivation of international flights in September, as established by the National Government

This was stated this Friday by the director, Juan Francisco Espinosa and said that several airports are ready to receive travelers from other countries, complying with all biosafety protocols for the selective isolation phase.

He explained that among the measures that will be implemented to resume international flights are the permanent use of masks, constant hand washing, physical distancing and the restriction of companions in the terminals.

“In the different airports of the country and in the different migration zones they will find some spots on the ground. These points will have colors, depending on whether you are foreign or national to facilitate the process. What will they have to do? Stand at one point. To be standing at one of those points is to be sure because you are going to have a distance that allows you and your families to be calm, ”said Espinosa.

According to the official, although there is no exact date, they expect the return to be in this month, and pointed out that the process needs coordination with international authorities because some countries maintain restrictions on travelers from Colombia.

Espinosa indicated that the airports that finalize details to resume international air operation are Alfonso Bonilla Aragón, which serves Cali; El Dorado, from Bogotá; El Edén, from Armenia; Matecaña de, Pereira; Rafael Núñez, from Cartagena; Ernesto Cortissoz, from Barranquilla, and José María Córdova, from Antioquia.
