Some municipalities of Cundinamarca such as Girardot and La Mesa will have restrictions in the middle of the first weekend of free roads.

The new normality decrees of the national government authorized millions of Colombians to go out on the highways. In cities like Bogotá, the usual restrictions were replaced by the announcement of being able to shoot again.

This has caused thousands of Bogota citizens to go out on the weekend to visit their loved ones or to rest houses. But likewise, it has put a lot of pressure on municipalities in Cundinamarca that are going to receive these travelers. The pressure of the pandemic in these municipalities is very strong.

For this reason, the secretary of Mobility of the department, Jorge Godoy, announced restrictions. “In the municipalities that have a high COVID-19 index, we will have sectors with restricted mobility. These sectors will be accompanied by the National Police and mobility will be regulated in some neighborhoods and sectors where there is a high COVID index, in municipalities such as Girardot, The Table. We will be making a permanent presence there, “he said.

These are part of the list of municipalities in Cundinamarca with the highest number of cases. In addition to Soacha, the pandemic has also affected the municipalities of La Sabana and Fusagasugá.
