Two surveyors working on the Toyo Tunnel works (or Guillermo Gaviria Echeverri Tunnel) fell into an abyss after a mass movement that caused the detachment of several rocks that pushed them into the void.
According to Dapard, the emergency was registered at 7:00 pm this Wednesday and is being attended by aid agencies from western Antioquia.
“There is communication with them via cell phone and both people are aware, but apparently they have injuries, possibly fractures in their lower limbs, ”said Jaime Enrique Gómez, director of Dapard.
The rope team of the San Jerónimo and Sopetrán firefighters carry out the rescue of the workers.
According to information provided by the San Jerónimo Fire Department, the workers have already communicated by cell phone and are aware and oriented. We remain attentive.
