What was the most emotional moment experienced by the workers who completed the La Línea tunnel? See the light at the end of the tunnel? Not! Finish the work? Neither! Start it? Less!
The most exciting was lived on August 3, 2008. Let me tell you: the work to cross the Andes mountain range began in 2005 from two sectors, a group worked in the Cajamarca sector, in Tolima; the other group, in Calarcá, in Quindío. There were two groups, each one, with 200 workers on each side, began drilling the pilot tunnel. And look what happened, three years later, the day they finally managed to break the mountain range. The workers from both sides finally met!

Unspeakable emotion. The workers did not believe what they were living, it was the greatest feat of their lives! Break the monster! Break it and find yourself in its guts! They had managed to turn a dream that began more than a hundred years ago into reality: to cross the central mountain range. The workers’ emotion ended in tears and all, with one voice, embraced each other and with immense emotion sang the national anthem.
You can call me a municipal, a small town, a woman from a bell tower, I don’t care, I sing it for you, dear workers of the La Línea tunnel: “Oh, immortal joy!”
