‘Storytellers, women’s stories not to forget’, is a publication that collects 76 pieces including stories, poems, stories, photos and drawings, created by women in the process of reincorporation, victims of the conflict, groups, social organizations, girls and boys, who individually reflected in this book how they live and they feel from their daily lives in the construction of peace.
The launch will take place on Thursday, September 10 at 4:00 pm through Facebook Live, We are Movement: Women, Peace and Territory.
For Alejandra Allado, member of the editorial committee of Contadoras de Historias, “Each of the pieces is an exercise in expression and catharsis that leads us to reflect on the conflict, forced displacement and violence against women. This publication becomes a fabric between women who, through writing, share their history with us, which is that of many other women in the country and which awakens countless emotions and allows us to know the strength we have ”.
The compilation of the pieces that today are part of this book were made in April through a national call, in which different stories were collected, converted into a collective story, in an exercise of memory to contribute to the peace.
‘Storytellers, women’s stories not to forget’ is developed within the framework of the communication campaign We are Movement: Women, Peace and Territory, a campaign that makes visible initiatives promoted by women in the process of reincorporation from different territories of Colombia. It is implemented by the Center for Political Thought and Dialogue (CEPDIPO) with the support of UN Women and the Norwegian Embassy in Colombia.
