Two alleged perpetrators of massacre in rural area of ​​Arauca are captured

Two people were captured by the massacre of five people on August 21 in the El Caracol district, rural area of ​​Arauca, capital of the department that bears the same name.

According to the attorney general, Francisco Barbosa, it took the authorities 10 days to clarify the facts.

Barbosa explained that the investigative actions made it possible to collect evidence that blames the Residual Armed Group (Gaor) Structure 10.

Thus, the Prosecutor’s Office carried out the capture of two people who would be part of the illegal organization and were notified in the places of detention where they remain deprived of liberty for other crimes.

The elements, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, indicate that Dilia Elizabeth Achagua Maldonado, alias Alejandra, from the Arauca Police Station, where she remains detained, planned the massacre with Exequiel Loaiza Guzmán, alias Urias.

One of the victims was attributed with having handed over information to the authorities so that alias Alejandra was captured, the prosecution said.

Those involved will be charged with the crimes of aggravated homicide and aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime.

According to the evidence collected, the two captured maintained constant communication with the leaders of the Residual Armed Group (Gaor) Structure 10, for the planning and execution of crimes in the department of Arauca.
