The authorities offered up to $ 100 million in reward for information leading to the capture of those responsible for the murder of a cyclist in the rural area of Jamundí, Valle del Cauca, which occurred last Sunday.
According to the investigations carried out so far, two men are implicated in the murder of Camilo Andrés Vergara López.
In fact, the Metropolitan Police issued a poster with spoken portraits of the alleged perpetrators of the crime.
“We are going to work hand in hand with the Police to clarify the unfortunate crime of the cyclist and in a couple of days a team from the Dijin will arrive in the municipality to carry out the investigation of the facts,” said Andrés Felipe Ramírez, Mayor of Jamundí. of a Security Council that was attended by the Minister of Defense, Carlos Holmes Trujillo.
For his part, Trujillo invited the community to provide information about those involved in the events that occurred on August 30 in the Alto de Vélez sector, San Vicente district, Jamundí.

In addition, he confirmed that the cyclist was a retired officer of the public force. “It was about a man who dedicated his life to the service of the country and who, unfortunately, fell at the hands of criminality.”

Walter Camilo Murcia, secretary of Coexistence and Citizen Security of Valle del Cauca, confirmed, in previous days, that before the homicide, four cyclists were approached by several subjects, who held them “illegally against their will, and then released only to three”.
