Among the aftershocks, the Chilean agency report reported one of magnitude 6.1 and another of 5.2.
However, the US Geological Survey (USGS) lowered the intensity of the first earthquake to 6.8 degrees, but indicated that aftershocks were stronger than its counterpart in Chile estimated: 6.3, 5.4 and one more than 5.1.

The Ministry of the Interior of that country indicated that there had been no victims or material damage after what happened and a tsunami alert had not been generated either.
Preliminarily, no damage to people, alteration to basic services or infrastructure is reported as a result of this earthquake.
