Camila Godoy, 18 years old, denounced through her social networks that she had been beaten by her mother and stepfather in Bogotá.
The young woman related that they were at a family gathering and realized that her brother was crying.
“I saw that my stepfather, drunk, was on top of him scolding him. I refuted that he spoke badly to my brother while he was in that state and we began to argue. At one point my stepfather started to punch me, but an aunt defended me, ”Camila said.
He also assures that his mother entered the discussion, but to defend her stepfather.
«My mother began to pull my hair, at the time, to defend myself, I also attacked her to let me go. My stepfather grabbed me from behind, dragged me across the floor of the whole apartment, began to beat me up. He kicked me, punched me and I fell to the ground almost unconscious.
“I hid in the bathroom and started calling the police, the friends I was talking to, so they could call the police,” he says.
The young woman says that she contacted her father, who took her to the hospital, where she was given disability, and she proceeded to file a complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the Secretariat for Social Integration, during the pandemic, domestic violence has increased by 14%. Since March and until so far in August, 16,200 cases have been registered.
