Valle del Cauca registered three of the 16 new deaths from coronavirus in Colombia

The Ministry of Health reported 480 new cases of contagion and the number rose 13,610 throughout the country. The death toll reached 525.

In Valle del Cauca there were three of the 16 new deaths from the COVID-19 coronavirus in Colombia, according to the Ministry of Health after 4:30 pm on Thursday, May 14, 2020.

  • 89-year-old woman in Cali. Comorbidities: Epoc.
  • 65-year-old man in Cali. Comorbidities: Epoc and smoking.

  • 68-year-old man in Manizales. No comorbidities.
  • 59-year-old man in Bogotá. Comorbidities: smoking.
  • 75-year-old woman in Bogotá. Comorbidities: HT and obesity.
  • 50-year-old woman in Bogotá. Comorbidities: diabetes, arthritis and chronic kidney disease.
  • 85-year-old man in Mosquera, Nariño. Comorbidities: HT, diabetes and obesity.
  • 75-year-old man in Puebloviejo, Magdalena. Comorbidities: HT and dilated heart disease.
  • 83-year-old woman in Cartagena. Comorbidities: HT and pleural tuberculosis.
  • 57-year-old woman in Cartagena. Comorbidities under study.
  • 59-year-old woman in Cartagena. Comorbidities under study.
  • 71-year-old man in Cartagena. Comorbidities: HT and chronic kidney disease.
  • 69-year-old man in Tumaco. Comorbidities: smoking.
  • 75-year-old man in Malambo, Atlántico. Comorbidities under study.
  • 58-year-old man in Leticia. No comorbidities.

The three deaths are also part of the 79 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus in the department, which the Ministry of Health confirmed on Thursday.

In this way, Valle del Cauca reached 1,557 infections and 86 deaths. In addition, it remains the second region of Colombia with the highest number of infected, after Bogotá, which accumulates 4,892.

The municipalities that are registering daily deaths from the coronavirus in this last week are Cali and Buenaventura, accumulating 65 and 6, respectively, until last Wednesday, May 13.

In the report of this May 14, the national government confirmed a total of 680 new patients with COVID-19 coronavirus throughout the country, which already registers 13,610 infections, 3,358 people recovered and 525 deaths as a result of the disease.
