The CONMEBOL Member Associations presented the candidate cities to host the finals of the CONMEBOL Libertadores and the South American CONMEBOL in the years 2021, 2022 and 2023.
The CONMEBOL Club Competitions Directorate reported that a workshop will be held by video call with each applicant on Monday, May 25 and Tuesday, May 26, to define concepts of the finals and to evacuate all doubts for the preparation of the Candidacy Dossier, which It must be presented next Friday, May 29, 2020.
Once the Candidacy Dossier has been presented, CONMEBOL will evaluate the information, the guarantees sent and will present a proposal for finalists for the CONMEBOL Council, which will define the cities that will continue in the dispute to host the finals.
The finalist cities will be inspected, once it is possible to travel through South America and after the inspection visits, the reports will again be presented to the Council of the governing body of South American football, which will make the final decision on the venues.
