Three new deaths from Covid-19 in Cali this Monday, cases in Colombia total 11,613

Three new deaths from complications derived from Covid-19 occurred this Monday in Cali, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection said in its report on the situation of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

According to the report, among the deceased are a 68-year-old man with diabetes, a 70-year-old woman with high blood pressure and a 91-year-old man, whose pre-existing diseases were lymphoma, hypertension, diabetes and obesity.

This Monday, a total of 16 deaths were reported. In addition to the three that occurred in the Valle del Cauca capital, patients between the ages of 59 and 92 died in Bogotá, Barranquilla, Cartagena and Leticia.

On the other hand, in the report delivered by Minsalud 550 new cases of coronaviruses in the country are confirmed, distributed as follows: Amazonas (191), Bogotá (150), Cartagena (56), Valle (36), Atlántico (26), Barranquilla (26), Magdalena (12), Nariño (10), Boyacá (10), Bolívar (7), Antioquia (6), Cundinamarca (6), Quindío (4), Meta (4), Cauca (4), Huila (1) and Santa Marta (1).

With these new diagnoses, in Colombia there are already 11,613 people infected with the new coronavirus, of which 1,367 are in Valle del Cauca. The death toll from the disease rose to 479, while the people recovered are 2,825.

Globally, the coronavirus leaves 4,063,525 infected, 282,244 dead and 1,433,990 recovered.
