Controversy in Girón, Santander, by councilor who attacked a young man with a belt

A video was broadcast on social networks in which Rodolfo Rangel, councilor of Girón, Santander, hitting a young man with his strap appears. The event occurred in the El Palenque neighborhood of that municipality on Thursday, May 7.

Information was circulated through social networks that stated that the councilor attacked the young man for violating the quarantine, however, neither party raised this in his version.

“I was leaving the neighborhood on my motorcycle when the councilman threw the car over me. I immediately complained to him. When I looked in the rearview mirror, I saw that he was reversing in the car and I turned back to see what he wanted. The man at once began to treat me badly, with an aggressive posture. He began to tell me that I was not from the neighborhood that I left. When he gives me to understand that he is going to take out a gun or something like that, I try to leave and he pushes me off the bike.
