Amidst the controversy over the signing of a contract for $ 3.5 billion to reinforce the President Iván Duque’s digital strategy in full pandemic – also financed with resources from the Peace Fund– This Monday a new contract was announced, which also uses this fund to measure the perception of citizenship against the initiatives and programs of the Government in the maintaining its peace policy.

The contract, signed on May 4, was signed between the Fund for Special Programs for Peace (Peace Fund) of the Administrative Department of the Presidency with the National Consulting Center worth almost $ 481 million.

Its specific purpose is to carry out studies, surveys and surveys to “measure the level of perception, satisfaction and effectiveness of the management and performance of the National Government, on the different initiatives and themes tending to peace-keeping, within the framework of Equity, Legality and Entrepreneurship ”.

For this, the carrying out eight measurements, one per month, between May and December 2020. In total, 1,168 monthly telephone or face-to-face surveys, for a total of 7,008 surveys for the remainder of the year.

It was further determined that Hassan Nassar, current presidential adviser for communications, will be in charge of the coordination, supervision and control of the execution of this contract. By the way, the official explained in statements collected by Blu Radio that the resources of the Peace Fund do not correspond to the money intended for compliance with what was agreed with the former FARC guerilla and that the contract does not differ from others that have been signed for the handling of communications in Casa de Nariño.

Nassar explained that in 2019, the same service was contracted with a different pollster: Invamer, worth $ 1,112 million for 10 months. In that sense, he stressed that the new contract is only for eight months and for half the price.

Suspicion was also aroused to find that one of the organization’s employees is the son of Luigi Echeverry, one of the closest people to Duque.
