413 appear in Valle del Cauca for failing to comply with the isolation measure

Authorities reported this Sunday that since the mandatory isolation measure began in the country due to the expansion of Covid-19, 413 people have been punished in Valle del Cauca for failing to comply with this and other regulations.

“As far as Decree 593 has been in force, 413 appendixes and 28 have been imposed for violation of Traffic regulations,” reported the Secretary of Coexistence and Departmental Security, Walter Camilo Murcia.

He reported that 48 people were punished in the region during the second day, specifying that “48 people were imposed outside of Cali, 28 of them for compulsory isolation. The others for violation of the Code of Coexistence.”

He also reported 18 arrests for different crimes and two for violation of sanitary measures.

The official also explained that in the last hours a homicide was registered in the El Placer district, jurisdiction of El Cerrito, apparently in the middle of a fight, which is already a matter of investigation.

Two homicides were registered in the capital, for a total of three violent deaths.

“We will continue with the controls, but in general terms in the Valley, without including Cali, the measures are being followed,” he said.

Murcia recognized the actions carried out by the offices in charge of security in each locality, together with the Public Force, and highlighted the behavior of citizens in this matter.

In Cali 234 appearances were imposed, the highest number in the department.
