The report for this May 10 indicates that in the department of Antioquia there are two new cases of Covid-19, all previously identified, isolated and in epidemiological follow-up. With this new report, the number of positive cases in the department amounts to 468. Of these, 234 are women and 234 are men.
A 60-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman are newly infected by the virus in the department, both cases located in Medellín.
The report indicates that, to date, there are 88 active cases in the department and the number of recovered people remains at 374. Of the assets, 60 are reported in Medellín and the remaining 28 are distributed in the following municipalities: Bello (13), Copacabana (7), La Estrella (3), Itagüí (2), Envigado (1), El Carmen de Viboral (1) and Rionegro (1).
Additionally, the report indicates that there are ten (10) hospitalized patients: five (5) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and five (5) in general hospitalization.
According to the report, the 374 people recovered in the department are distributed as follows: Medellín (222), Bello (41), Envigado (29), Itagüí (14), Rionegro (10), Sabaneta (10), Copacabana (6), La Estrella (6), Caldas (5), Montebello (3) , Apartadó (4), Guarne (3), Donmatías (2), Guatapé (2), La Ceja (2), Santa Rosa de Osos (2), Sonsón (2), San Pedro de Urabá (1), Barbosa ( 1), Andes (1), Santo Domingo (1), El Retiro (1), Cocorná (1), El Santuario (1), Angostura (1), Girardota (1), Amagá (1) and Frontino (1) .
This report also indicates that Antioquia has processed to date 13.3% of the total tests in Colombia, that is to say that of the 144,912 processed in the country, in Antioquia a total of 19,131 samples have been processed. Of the latter, 18,664 have been negative.
