“We do not know whether or not there will be a quarantine after May 25, it is a decision of the President of the Republic, who for now has determined that it is until May 25. As it is a disease from which we learn every day, we will continue to view the information rigorously, ”said the president, who explained the new biosecurity measures that she has adopted.

This measure in which women could go out on odd days, and men on even days to buy food, medicine, go to banks, among other essential activities, It will not take effect from next Monday, May 11. Bogota citizens will no longer have mobility restrictions according to their gender, but will have to benefit from new district provisions such as the mandatory use of face masks on the street, and the person who does not use it will be fined.

The bicycle must be of priority use, the shared car (with less than three people), travel on foot and, as a last resort, the use of TransMilenio or public transport in peak hours.

Vehicles and motorcycles they will only be able to circulate at a maximum of 50 kilometers per hour in mixed roads, with three exceptions:

  2. Zones that have a preset 30 km / hour limit
  3. Runners who have a lower speed limit.
