They expel from Colombia a woman who had been arrested more than 30 times for theft

Migration Colombia expelled a foreign citizen from the territory who must return to her country of origin, Venezuela, after authorities confirmed that she has been detained in Bogotá more than 30 times for the crime of theft.

This is Jhoana de los Ángeles Faria, known by the authorities as “La Verde” and who in her most recent capture was trying to extract different elements from a drugstore located on 106th street with the north highway, in the city of Bogotá.

This woman, according to Migración Colombia, would appear to be the leader of a criminal gang called the “Matruskas”, which would be dedicated to the theft of drugstores and commercial establishments in the north of the city.

“He was dedicated to extracting elements from the establishments inside his clothes or bags, while the vendors were distracted by other members of the band or true customers,” the official institution added in a statement.

In this latest capture, the Prosecutor General’s Office managed to link “La Verde” in 30 other robberies, however, the decision of a judge with a function of control of guarantees, was to release her because she considered, according to Migration, that the events should be judged individually and they represented a smaller amount, which did not imply an intramural insurance measure.

“Once released, Johana de los Ángeles Faria was placed at the disposal of Migración Colombia, who immediately notified her of the expulsion measure against her, for a period of ten years, counted from the date,” adds the competent authority.
