Barranquilla launched the first vaccination post Self-service of the country, which allows people to receive their dose without getting out of their vehicle.
This point, which was enabled in the second basement of the Viva Shopping Center, is operated by Ophthalmology Clinic of the Caribbean and EPS Sura, with the aim of accelerating the immunization process in the city.
This Wednesday, Mayor Jaime Pumarejo Heins made a tour of the vaccination point to learn details of this strategy, which is contemplated in the National Vaccination Plan.
“We are showing what is done with teamwork. This point seeks, through scheduling and good biosafety protocols, that people get vaccinated as quickly as possible and without getting infected, “said the district president.
Pumarejo stressed that vaccination continues to be developed, in parallel, in Steps and Roads of the cityas well as in the stadium Romelio Martinez and the school Normal La Hacienda.
“We are conducting a massive search for people over 70 to ensure that they do not run out of covid-19 vaccines,” he explained.
