Sebastián Soto’s body was found floating this morning one kilometer from the place where he drowned, in the La Tenaza sector.
It was fishermen who found the body of the young man, 18 years old, floating. Firefighters, lifeguards, and police immediately arrived at the scene. Members of the Coast Guard Corps were present to take the body to shore and thus be able to carry out the judicial inspection.
Sebastián Soto drowned on Monday at noon when the sea was thrown in the La Tenaza sector when he heard the cries of help from several people. There were three who managed to get out of that situation, while Soto was swept away by a current. He lived in Nelson Mandela.
Drowned in Marbella
On Monday, hours after Sebastián’s disappearance, another 14-year-old boy drowned on the beaches of Marbella.
One last dip in the sea was what José David Blanco Blanco asked his mother when she bathed on the beaches of Marbella. In that last dip he drowned.
The woman relates that the incident occurred around 1:30 in the afternoon in the area of non-authorized beaches in front of the Mar del Norte building, in Marbella. Apparently, the minor was bathing in the forbidden area, where the flags are.
“When they took him out he was foaming at the mouth, my child was already sick, almost dead.” The minor was transferred to the San José de Torices Clinic, where he died.
18 rescued
The Lifeguard Corps reported that during the holiday bridge it rescued 18 people who bathed on different beaches in the city.
They reported ten rescues in Marbella: six on non-authorized beaches and four on authorized beaches. In Bocagrande there were seven rescues on authorized beaches; in Castillogrande there was one, after the closure of the beaches.
